White Crown - a photo on Flickriver

White Crown

            I am terrible with identifying some smaller birds, especially ones that have similar features to many others, like different kinds of sparrows.  I think this is a white-crowned sparrow but I may be way off.  In any event we were observing and shooting sea otters that were rafting in the safety of the calm waters at Moss Landing when my wife spotted this cute bird in the bushes along the shore.  I was right up against the minimum focus distance for my lens which gave the foreground and background a misty quality that I thought was pretty cool.  

Please let me know if my identification is off!
