M17 - Omega Nebula (NGC 6618) in narrowband (SHO) with RGB stars and luminance

The Omega Nebula, also known as the Swan Nebula, Checkmark Nebula, Lobster Nebula, and the Horseshoe Nebula (catalogued as Messier 17 or NGC 6618) is a bright H II rich region in the constellation Sagittarius. The nebula is located between 5,000 and 6,000 light-years from Earth and spans some 15 light-years in diameter.

Post-processing: Photoshop (with RC-Astro toolkit) & PSP2019

Narrowband (SHO) data blended with Luminance data using Photoshop Color mode. Apparently this is frowned upon as the luminance data is full visible spectrum, resulting in a loss of the high contrast charateristic of narrowband images. Whilst contrast is lost, the combined LSHO image has a much better SNR and the color palette still provides information on the distribution of Ha, SII and OIII within the nebula.
