Cows & Dykes on the Oare Marshes Kent..

            Oare Marshes, a Kent Wildlife Trust reserve, features both cows and dykes as key elements of its ecosystem. Specifically, Sussex and Sussex Angus cross cattle graze on the 81-hectare marshland. The reserve also includes freshwater dykes, open water scrapes, and a seawall, contributing to its importance as a wetland habitat for birds. The dykes help manage water levels and create diverse habitats for wildlife, including migratory and overwintering birds, its a beautiful place to walk and a little gem on the North Kent coastal path..
