With each week that passes... The Lady Essie

69 year old Capt James Murray lost the Lady Essie in August 2013, about a month after I took this image. While towing another Shrimp Boat out of Hilton Head Island, both boats ran aground, were damaged, never and never recovered. James told me he had been shrimping for 50 years and working off Cumberland Island was his favorite spot to work. We were really looking forward to seeing him berthed in our Fernandina Beach neighborhood a few months later. Help me capture the handful of the remaining wood hulled boats!
