Restoring the Rustic Charm of Pulau Ubin...

A stroll through Ubin takes you back to Singapore in the 1960's with the simpler pleasures of life. Unlike Sentosa, which is highly developed with resorts, golf courses, casinos and condos, Pulau Ubin is largely underdeveloped and accommodates the last kampung (village) in Singapore.

Habitat enhancement, species recovery, shoreline restoration and a new centre for research at Pulau Ubin are some of the initiatives to help retain and enhance the island's rustic charm. It will eventually showcase as a "Living" Museum of Singapore's history. Just my thought...
