The edge - a photo on Flickriver

The edge

            While heading towards the peak (2544 m) of Moldoveanu mountain in Romania, we were making our way up a slippery slope near the Vistea Mare peak (2527 m). I turned around to see this wonderful image of clouds getting right up to the Portita Vistei edge, but unable to pass forwards. In the distance we can see the Salvamont refuge cabin . We got through all the 4 seasons that day, but managed to make it to the top. The picture was taken in the famous Carpathian mountain chain.
