Westland Sea King HAS.6 ‘XV663 / 18’

            Built 1970 as an HAS.1. Converted to HAS.2 in 1980 and then to HAS.6 in 1990.
Retired from active service in May 2000 and used for ground instruction before going on display at the National Maritime Museum, Falmouth during 2015.
The entire starboard side has now been painted in false RAF Search and Rescue colours to represent an HAR.3 and it is on display in Hall 1 as part of the ‘100 Years of Search and Rescue’ exhibiton.
