            There is few photos of the french poet. Actually 4 or 5. As a friend wanted me to paint a portrait of Rimbaud, i read point of views of contemporary people and and had a look of those cliches of him (when he was very young until he was 16 or 17). I saw drawings of him made by his friend Verlaine, and a few paintings (for exemple the Fantin-Latour's one). Most of those images represent Arthur Rimbaud as a bohemian artist, kind of a punk in that time (1870's). But if you read his poems, you see a very sad and rough young man, disillusioned by life and history (the massacre of the Commune of Paris). When he saw the portrait i did, my friend told me that Rimbaud is not there, his looking far beyond us, he is looking the stars is the sky. And that was the idea he has of Rimbaud : this man was not here, he was too far from us. And still is.
