🇪🇸 Gijón EXPLORE#017 - a photo on Flickriver

Gijón es una gran ciudad costera del norte de España. Es conocida por su patrimonio marítimo y el viejo barrio de pescadores de Cimadevilla. El cerro de Santa Catalina cuenta con un parque y una escultura en el acantilado. El palacio de Revillagigedo, que data del siglo XVIII, alberga un centro de arte internacional. Es contiguo a la colegiata de San Juan Bautista, actualmente una sala de conciertos. Cerca de esta se encuentra el campanario del siglo XVI que acoge un museo sobre la ciudad.

Gijón is a large coastal city in northern Spain. It is known for its maritime heritage and the old fishing district of Cimadevilla. The Cerro de Santa Catalina has a park and a sculpture on the cliff. The Revillagigedo Palace, dating from the 18th century, is home to an international art center. It is adjacent to the collegiate church of San Juan Bautista, currently a concert hall. Nearby is the 16th century bell tower that houses a museum about the city.
