Pronto! Vi ricordate di me? - a photo on Flickriver

... ho ancora a casa questo vecchio apparecchio... mi sa che ormai siano molti i ragazzi che non hanno mai avuto occasione di comporre un numero su un telefono a disco! Eppure io l'ho avuto in funzione fino al 2002... poi ho dovuto cedere alla modernità; ma questo telefono lo conservo... sono sicuro che all'occorrenza rifunzionerà alla grande!

Nei primi anni '60 in famiglia ci stupivamo quando vedevamo nei telefilm americani qualcuno che sollevava la cornetta e componeva il numero senza aspettare la linea. Eh sì, perché vivevamo a Lima, in Perù, e a quei tempi la centrale telefonica era del tutto insufficiente. La mamma mi dava l'incarico di sollevare la cornetta e aspettare finché arrivava il tono dalla centrale... ci potevano volere anche delle ore! Quando finalmente arrivava il segnale, chiamavo la mamma che componeva il numero e faceva la sua telefonata.

Il problema fu poi risolto con la costruzione di una nuova centrale; però ancora oggi controllo sempre che ci sia il segnale dalla centrale, tu-tuuu, prima di comporre il numero...
