            The emerald dove or common emerald dove, also called Asian emerald dove and grey-capped emerald dove, is a widespread resident breeding pigeon native to the tropical and subtropical parts of the Indian Subcontinent and Southeast Asia.

Conservation status: Least Concern (Population decreasing)

Some interesting facts about emerald doves:
Emerald doves are usually observed alone, in pairs or small groups. They are often found foraging on the ground for fallen fruit, seeds and a wide variety of low-lying plants. They will spend little time in trees, except when roosting.
