Contemporary Glass Panel - a photo on Flickriver

Panel designed for the staircase of my former college, the Architectural Glass Department at what was then Swansea Institute of Higher Education. An alternative design was chosen and became very familiar to all who studied there over three years.

Our final visit was to the Museum for Contemporary Stained Glass in Langen (Museum für Zeitgenössische Glasmalerei), a collection of artificially backlit abstract panels representing several leading names in the contemporary expression of the medium, most notably Johannes Schreiter who is based locally and joined us as we explored the exhibition (his work forms the largest single contribution to the collection).
