Clean Sound

            This is my third self made guitar which I completed a few months back. Made from an old ACME washboard this time. It was a bit trickier to make than the last two guitars I built and took longer to do but I'm pleased with the overall result. I installed a 'lipstick' neck single pickup and a humbucker bridge pickup, along with a three way selector switch. I also had the idea of using clear Perspex for the front of the headstock, pickups, controls etc. mainly to give a flat surface to mount the hardware to.
I made the neck from a piece of oak and an Iroko fret board blank. I had to box out where the guitar lead plugs in to on the end to hide the wiring etc. and engraved it with a wood burning tool. It has the same scale length as a Gibson Les Paul, hence the name 'Les Board Custom!' Not quite a Les Paul in build but it sounds and plays okay.
