Weird US schoolgirl chic - a photo on Flickriver

I took this photo on Piccadilly, on September 10, 2012, of mannequins in the window of The Sting, a branch of the Dutch fashion chain, which describes itself as a "network of brands." This key location beside Piccadilly Circus was occupied by Tower Records between 1985 and 2003, when it was sold to Virgin Records, surviving as a music and DVD retailer until 2009. From the early 19th century, Swan & Edgar, a famous department store, was based on the site, and was still there when the site was extensively remodelled between 1910 and 1920. It was later taken over by Debenhams, finally closing in 1982.
