Eastbound sand train 676 departs Portage East after meeting 281. The leader is the only one of the 20 GEVOs that received the 2010 Vancouver Olympics paint to not be fully repainted back to the normal scheme, although the Olympics logo has been blotted out (lighter white patch toward the left).

Besides that, it's the only home road unit to be found on the six trains I caught on this Monday afternoon! How frustrated I used to get in earlier years when I was trying to catch the dwindling numbers of SD40-2s and SD60s on this line, only to find train after train hauled by nothing but these (and their older, dingier cousins the AC4400CWs)!

Behind 8876 is a UP SD70M, and a BNSF ES44C4 and NS Dash 9 were mid-train. I wasn't expecting that and the one shot I was able to snap off was blurry.
