Arrow for family health and business success (Shinto talisman)

            At the start of each calendar year people of all ages and locations around Japan are invited to bring the old year's talisman to the shrine for proper disposal and at the same time purchase a new edition for the year ahead. This one comes from a well-known shrine in Shizuoka-ken called Asama Jinja. Attached to the long red arrow are two tinkley bells on purple brocade and a wooden fuda with the year and the prayers or purposes intended with this talisman from the shrine for people to take home with them.
