(1986-2006) American Girl Hospital Gown

PERSONAL FUN FACT:    This is my childhood Addy doll's hospital gown.  I sent her to the doll hospital back in 2003 for a new head.  My first Addy head, which I got in 1997, had a bald wig.  I was only six years old when I got my Addy doll, so I brushed her pretty aggressively.  Plus, Addy dolls are prone to shedding in general anyways.  By the time I had Addy for two years, I would say that a Barbie doll had more hair than her.  It was a very hard decision for me to make, and one that took me until 2003 to make.  After much deliberation, I opted to get Addy a new head during the spring/summer of 2003.  I missed her so badly when she was away.  For that reason, I really have never been able to send another doll to the hospital since. I've learned to repair them myself (it's also cheaper that way).  But it's super cool that Addy came home with a hospital gown, a balloon, an adorable hospital bracelet, and a certificate.  I used to hang the certificate up in my doll wardrobe when I was younger.  Nowadays, I keep it with my other American Girl paper goods, so it doesn't get lost.
