Walking Woman

            At Ekeberg Sculpture Park. 
Sean Henry makes the models for his bronze sculptures in clay before they are cast and painted. Henry’s work has contributed to the revival of polychrome sculpture. We are used to seeing sculptures without paint or other decoration, but we easily forget that ancient sculptures were nearly always painted. Time or the hands of later generations have wiped modern sculpture clean making it difficult for us to understand that classic marble sculptures from Antiquity were always painted in bright colours.

Clearly someone else must have taken a photo also, but maybe they aren't on Flickr!
