After a long planning, finally I ended up in Ladakh and the whole trip was a thrill. From the beginning to the end. I was so excited of this trip. Even after visiting many major natural locations of the world; Ladakh was so special and at the very top of the list. Probably due to the natural phenomenon of this place. The altitude is breath taking and the landscape is different. The mix of rocks, green and different colors with scattered cloud made it such a joy to watch.

First couple of days where a bit dull. Eventually the right condition came along. I saw the cloud formation and the opening of the cloud and I was pretty sure of something dramatic coming. Suddenly after few gloomy hours the light came out and the complete scene changed in blink of an eye. Thank god I was ready to capture it. The light only stayed for 15 minutes or so. It was good enough time for me to capture some of the famous light and shade images of Leh.

You can see the bright Tsemo Gompa (Monastery) at the top of the hill in foreground.

I did capture some timelapse and there it is more clear on how the the light ans shade moved through. Overall a good decision to get to that location even with not that favorable weather!
