Guelph Central - Grand Trunk Railway (1911-Present)

            Guelph's Central Station shows off the height of Passenger Rail in Canada. The station, completed by Grand Trunk as a replacement for the original station in 1911. Constructed with a mix of Romanesque Revival and Italianate design, it has surprisingly survived in nearly its original form to this day. Many original exterior and interior features survive even after the Canadian National takeover in 1923 and the depression in the 1930s. It continued to serve both VIA and GO Trains and was recognised as a Historic Place in 1992.
