Robyn T-240D CB Radio - a photo on Flickriver

Robyn T-240D AM only [no ssb] Screen & Plate modulated !!! AM Tube radio yet with modern 1979 Solid-State 40 channed PLL with LED readout. Strange: The 10.240 ref xtal is Oscillated with a tube! This baby has punchy audio the nearby truckers tell me rolling past my apt here in Brooklyn near the highway leading up to the Verazanno Bridge on ch19. The TX/RX BOTH function using tubes.
Minolta G500 mixed, tricky incandescent&flash - Background greyed-out for clarity.
P.S. I just got hold of ANOTHER one in more of a used shape that xmits only so far but that tells me much is A-Ok. I also just got a Teaberry 40ch Model T. I am in the process of restoring them both.
