Some photographers have galleries which feature nothing but flowers. And when I go to botanical gardens, I see dozens of photographers taking close ups of all manner of flora.

I would say I practice nature photography but not necessarily macros of flower blooms. I do have a long history of interacting with flowers. Not in my own "garden" mind you, but because my "specialty" when I was in my first career in retail management was the "Garden & Nursery Department".

I do love early mornings when there's dew on flowers, especially roses. (no kittens with whiskers were in evidence 😉) The Back Bay Fens Park is part of the Emerald Necklace, an 1100 acre series of public parks in Boston designed by landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted. (who also designed New York's Central Park and San Francisco's Golden Gate Park among others)
