An apple a day, keeps the doctor away

            Still testing out the limits of the 1DX - it was extremely dark and windy - in fact it started raining while I was photographing robins enjoying ornamental crab apples.  Shot at +1 comp, shutter speed priority 1/1250 which gave me an automatic ISO of 1600 and an aperture of 4.5..  Less DOF than I'd like but hey I can't complain about the performance of the 1DX.  Even blown up to 100% there was very little visible noise. I have a few contacts that are thinking of purchasing this body (camera not mine - mine is way past it's prime - lol) so I thought I would post some low light images!!   Now if only the robins leave some of the apples for a sunny day :))

p.s. - I was surprised to see robins - haven't seen any in about a month or more.

Stopping by today to catch up and say hello. I've been busy working on matting and framing some of my pix that will be on display for a few months.   I'm leaving town tomorrow for a reunion - it will be nice to see some friends we haven't seen in years and years.  I'm leaving the camera at home ;(
