Painting with Water Colors - a photo on Flickriver

            I set out at just after day break to hike the West Fork trail again, this time in hopes of catching some fall colors. There were a few, but I think next week will be a lot better. 

I saw maybe 5 people on my way in, basically having the canyon to myself. On the way out it was like walking down Fifth Ave. in New York. I met a group of about 50 old people. Have you ever stood on a creek bank waiting for 50 elderly people to cross a stream? My advice, have a seat. And the conversations were wonderful too. They told me they all came in the same car to save gas. I had a good laugh picturing that in my head.

I was almost all the way out when the kindergarden class arrived. Surprisingly similar to the old folks, really. The last time I visited here I posted a picture of a flower and how it reminded me of the cycle of life. This time I got to see it in Technicolor! 

Aside from having to stand on the side of the trail and wait for the throngs to pass, it was quite a nice hike. I can't think of a better place to have to wait on people.
