Fishermen's huts at Portland Bill, Isle of Portland, Dorset

            Fishermen's huts have been a traditional feature of the rugged Portland coastline, though in more recent times many of them have been used for recreational purposes. This is on the north-east side of Portland Bill, and one of the old lighthouses can be seen on the right. This has had its lantern removed and is now used as an observatory for wildlife. Judy (on the left) found a relatively comfortable place in the sun while I wandered round with my camera.
