St Andrew's Church, Bere Ferrers, Devon

            St Andrew's Church, Bere Ferrers, was built at the end of the 13th century and has the oldest stained glass window in Devon other than that in Exeter Cathedral. The bench ends are Tudor. The church is a Grade I-listed building and has been little altered since the 15th century. Simon Jenkins regards this as one of England's Thousand Best Churches.

The pretty little waterside village of Bere Ferrers in south-west Devon sits at the side of the River Tavy just before it joins the River Tamar on its journey to the sea via Plymouth Sound. The village is on the Bere Peninsula about three miles north of Saltash and the Tamar bridges.
