Herbaceous plant ; Buds –soaked – coconut oil is applied to blacken hair : By boiling flower in water extract is made and it is used to contain stomac ache during mensus period ; Flower is used for the fertility of semen ;Red flower is used to prepare shampoo; Often grown to beutify house ; Semparuththi (‘red paruththi’) is National flower of Malaysia .
