BCNH - a photo on Flickriver

Slim pickings tonight - not much bird activity at three locations that I visited. This black-crowned night heron didn't linger either and allowed me only a few shots. Light direction in the evening at this location isn't optimum - to get the heron with the sun over my shoulder I would have to levitate above the slough, which is about 20ft below the bird here.
