Friends have asked what I’ve been doing to stay in shape since then. The answer is swimming. Lots and lots of swimming. Total Immersion. Every day I head out to the Merrimack River and put in a good hour or so. It gets a little tricky when the surface starts to freeze over, or when breakup causes little iceberg chunks to bump me, but, you know, what’s life without a few little challenges?
