The more I look at the way the owners – Larry and Janice? – presented their house to the street the more brilliant I think their "selves-portrait" is.  An extraordinary compositional dance.

This is better than Venturi.  (Whose resurrection, along with Hejduk’s, I am quite keen on.)  Or could it be that (inaccessible – whiff of Eisenman?) rectangular void is a nod to Wright?  (This IS the prairie, after all.)

The next time I am there I have to meet them.
