            Yaks, moutons à la queue grasse et chèvres élevés par les Kirghiz dans le Pamir Afghan. Les animaux ont été vendus à un acheteur de Gilgit, Pakistan. Après avoir franchi le col d'Irshad (4 995m) séparant les deux pays, ils sont redescendus sur Babi Ghundi traditionnel lieu d'échange entre les Kirghiz du Pamir et les Wakhis de la vallée de Chapursan, sur la route de laquelle ils seront conduits jusqu'à Sost. De là, ils seront chargés sur des camions à destinations de Sost. Les yaks ne peuvent pratiquement pas vivre dans les basses altitudes et sous les fortes chaleurs, ce qui ne peut guère leur permettre d'accéder au marché de Kaboul qui, de toute façon, est largement plus éloigné..
