The Ship Inn, Porlock - a photo on Flickriver

            Built on a hill, this delightful part-thatched, former coaching inn in Porlock, Somerset, England, is divided into two parts. The Top Ship is a pub, restaurant and accommodation, and the Bottom Ship consists of function rooms. Surprisingly, even in this day and age, The Ship is still a family-owned-and-run Free House, which makes it even more delightful.
The circular chimney, although now leaning at a precarious-looking angle, is a classic design feature of this area and period.
Porlock is in Exmoor National Park.
