Bright Babul Blue - Azanus ubaldus (Stoll, 1782)

            Cópula, sur de Gran Canaria, donde esta especie es cada vez mas común, sin duda debido al avance imparable de una de sus plantas nutricias, Acacia farnesiana, aprovechan su floración para realizar su ciclo vital, desarrollándose sus larvas sobre las amarillas flores redondas de la Acacia, enero es muy buen mes para observar esta especie.

También la hemos observado reproducirse sobre Paraserianthes lophantha, curiosamente ninguna de estas fabáceas es originaria de África como la mariposa.
