John Blair House & Kitchen - a photo on Flickriver

In my photo of the day I mentioned that I woke up at 4:30 am to go out and take pictures... well, I went to Colonial Williamsburg which was the first capitol of Colonial Virginia. It is part of what is known as the Historical Triangle. This consists of Yorktown (where I live, and the where the final major battle of Revolutionary War was fought and the British surrendered), Jamestown (the first permanent English Settlement in America), and Williamsburg (former Capitol of Virginia).

What is pictured here is the John Blair House & Kitchen. John Blair was the founder and first president of the College of William & Mary which is about 1/2 mile away from this location. This is one of the oldest buildings in Williamsburg dating back to the early 18th century.
