Curtiss P-36 Hawk - perfectly level, inverted

            A US aircraft of the early WW2 era, first flight was in 1935. Although these didn't see much action with the USAAF, a number were exported to other air forces and were widely deployed.  
In the 1940-41 Franco-Thai War, P-36s were used by both sides - a great test for pilot skill and tactics!
The design was later developed into the much more successful P-40 Warhawk.
This picture was taken at the Duxford, July 2023 Air Show.
