The Bamboo Curtain

            Another picture from the travel archive...The Sagano Bamboo Grove of Arashiyama in Kyoto. 

My picture does not do justice to this beautiful site. These bamboo trees are very tall and a wide walking path runs through this natural bamboo forest. When the wind blows the top of the swaying bamboo plants on both side of the trail almost collide with each other and the rustling leaves make a lovely sound. It is an unforgettable experience.
