Re-flanked blue tail - a photo on Flickriver

            Extremely rare Red-flanked bluetail showed up in of all places Ocean County, N.J. It is the first time the bird has ever been seen in the Eastern area of the USA. Rarely have they been seen in western North America manly in Alaska.  Normally their home range is from Finland across to Kamchatka Peninsula (Russia) and Japan. It winters in Indian Subcontinent , Asia, the Himalayas, Taiwan and Indochina. Hundreds of birders have gone to the site to see the bird.
