Rusty Neon Sign - Route 66 - Tulsa - a photo on Flickriver

            This sign is old enough where it was repurposed and both the old and new messages have faded together.  The newer yellow neon tubes was USED CARS.  The cursive white tubes were for the owner's last name BYFORD.  The older block letters look like ERE PARK.

The lower sign also has the words THE WORKING MAN'S FRIEND which was Byford's motto.  At the bottom, it said RESTAURANT.

This neon sign is seen along the Admiral Pl. alignment of Route 66 through Tulsa.

Correction: It's actually along 3rd St.  which might be part of the 1926-32 alignment of Route 66, but other maps say 2nd St. is the actual alignment.
