Unfallen Part of Jericho Wall--Rahab's House?

This short portion of Jericho's outer wall did not collapse when it was invaded by Israel. In the biblical record, only a short portion of the wall adjacent to Rahab's house did not collapse. Could this be the very section--Rahab's house, or a piece very close to it?

When the people of Israel were entering the land for the first time, Joshua first sent in spies to get information on Jericho, a thriving city that was already ancient (Joshua chapter 2). When the spies quietly entered the city, they went to a brothel, likely because as strangers they would not attract attention there, and perhaps too, being on the fringes of society, persons there might not be so loyal.

They found Rahab, who was well aware of Israel's victories, and was willing to help because she believed God was on their side (Joshua 2:8-11). She hid them, and secretly helped them escape by letting them down a rope through her window, which was on the outer wall of the city (thus in a lower class area).

She deceived those who figured out that the visitors were spies, sending the pursuers off searching in the wrong direction. She had told the spies to hide out in the hills to the west for three days.

Come the invasion, she was to hang a scarlet thread out her window to mark her home. All that she chose to gather in there would be spared.

There is interesting evidence to support the historicity of the biblical record. See for example, www.christiananswers.net/q-abr/jericho.html. The archaeological evidence matches the biblical record exactly in that: it was heavily fortified (Joshua 2:5, 15); the walls fell in an unusual way, with the bricks at the bottom of the city's mound (Joshua 6:20); a defensive embankment required the Jewish invaders to go "up" into the city (Joshua 6:20), houses were built abutting the city wall and a short section did not fall (exactly as described in the Bible, where Rahab's house was spared, cf, Joshua 2:14-21, 16:22-23), the city was burned (Joshua 6:24), it was destroyed in about the 15 century BC (matching the biblical chronology); large amounts of grain were found, showing it was in the time of harvest (Joshua 2:6; 3:15), the siege was very short (Joshua 6:15); and the city was not plundered (Joshua 6:18), which was very unusual.
