Cone Flowers (HSS)

            When we first moved to our old house in Nevada City, the yard was full of yearly surprises. For the first five years a variety of annuals appeared haphazordly during the spring and summer months--usually different one's each year. One year these cone flowers popped up. The next year they were back again and then we never saw them again. They were good while they lasted--as was our many years in that house.
