Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco - a photo on Flickriver

            This iconic bridge spans Golden Gate Strait which joins San Francisco Bay with the Pacific Ocean, and connecting San Francisco with Marin County immediately to its north. It is frequently covered in low cloud or fog, as is the case here, although only a few minutes earlier we were under cloudless skies at Sausalito.
