The Lighthouse - a photo on Flickriver

The Lighthouse

            Beachy Head, Eastbourne, East Sussex, England.

I managed to grab a few hours on the coast at the beginning of the week as I was eager to test out a 16 stop ND filter. Although the weather was glorious, it was blowing a gale on the cliffs and exposed areas, so not the best conditions for a long exposure shot...😂

This particular image of Beachy Head Lighthouse was captured on the descent down from Belle Tout, during low tide, shortly after midday. The low tide reveals some nice rock formations leading the eye towards the Lighthouse. The image is a little soft as I used a telephoto lens to get onto those rocks and the conditions were challenging for a LE, but I’m happy with the exposure and composition.
