            365: the 2022 Edition 244/365

I wanted to share an excerpt from the book "Life is Messy" by Matthew Kelly. It really resonated with me. So many of us complicate life. We fill it with so many unnecessary things. We fill our days so full that we cannot even take time to breathe and be thankful for all the things we do have. We are too busy worried about the things we do not have. Sometimes, if we simplify the stuff in our lives and slow down life becomes a lot clearer. Here is the excerpt. I hope you get as much out of it as I did.  

"As children we are taught many of life's most important lessons, but as we grow older, we discard them as childish and useless.

The nursery rhyme Row, Row, Row Your Boat is but one example.... will will remember it's lessons all our lives. "Keep is simple" is perhaps the first lesson. 

Here is my stream of consciousness. 
Row. You have to row. There is effort involved. It's not a float or drift. Your boat. We are each responsible for our own boat. I am not responsible for rowing your boat, nor you mine. Gently. This is a calm activity; there is no thrashing or racing. Down the stream. There is a direction; we are not aimlessly drifting. Merrily. Cheerful, relaxed, enjoying the present moment. Life is but a dream. Don't take everything so seriously. Life passes quickly."
