Spring Greens - a photo on Flickriver

Spring Greens

            This is another photo I took a few days ago that I felt was a failure... but the reality was its ok compositionally it was a failure in the edit and I was really struggling with the greens and the bright central spot in the sky that whilst wasn't blown was very bright! 

I gave it another go last night and again I was struggling... as a bit of a punt I just hit the auto colours and auto levels buttons in affinity and they suddenly transformed into a starting point for the edit I had been struggling to get to from the RAW file. Whilst I know this approach would probably be frowned upon it got me to where I wanted to be... then a little dodge and burning and I was there! 

I defo need to find the time to invest in learning affinity properly... I have since found some good on line videos and I think i'll give them a go... but i'll prob leave it to the dark winter evenings if im honest and spend the summer out there... which is really the place I love to be the most!
