One Moment in Time

            By the time the salt spray was more than I wanted to continue exposing my Canon to, I whipped out one of my better point and shoots to finish grabbing some shots of the surf that was moving in quickly at the jetty. It actually worked better, as the lens focused more quickly, and I was able to catch some great splash shots of the waves.

This young lady had just biked up to this, the furthest point out on the walkway, for a look. She, unlike me, was dressed for the experience! I managed to capture this shot of her, which I thought had a poignant quality to it. There's something about staring out at the waves of the ocean that touches people in a way nothing else seems to. Maybe it's the power of the waves, or the sheer beauty of the moment, but it's hard to pull yourself away from looking at it, unless, of course, like me, you were getting just a little too wet! 

While the vast majority of my shots were exclusively of the ocean and the jetty itself, the few I took which had people in them were my favorites. I think this one was one I liked the best of all.

I won't be on much for the next week or so. I work in sales and Memorial Day is starting its preemptive strike! Much as I love Flickr, work comes first! I'll pop in when I have time! Take care....Chris
