Wrong Neighborhood - November 2023

            Taken across the street from my house in a mixed wooded area was a thick, wild grass clearing I had never explored. Did I get a treat! You can always hear Coyotes yipping and howling and partying during the evening and night hours but you rarely see them. 

At first, this isn't a particularly ideal shot; it's busy and was a result of maxing out the focal length to get what I could in a bit of calm desperation. But after going back to it, it really reflects the "wildness" of the moment. If it weren't for the sun I would have never seen this gorgeous lazy fella rise up from his nap, so keeping the shot mostly uncropped shows the scope and how well he blended with everything. 

We studied each other for a bit and with one more step trying to get closer, he darted off into the brush. Then of course, I got out of there too...
