94/365 - Once upon a time... - a photo on Flickriver

            ... there was a big cherry laurel where there is now dirt, excavations and rubble. For many years, generations of blackbirds have nested in that bush and they continued to use it through the recent years during which the building has undergone massive renovation... until two weeks ago, when that evil red engine put down the blackbirds shelter :-(
