147/365 - Voyage à l'ancienne - a photo on Flickriver

            J'entends par là, à l'aide de cartes papier, sans I-ceci ou I-celà. Ni Apple, ni Samsung, ni Garmin, ni Tom-Tom, juste Michelin au 200.000ème.
Sue et moi partons la semaine prochaine pour une escapade de deux jours en France. Notre projet est de gagner la source de l'Escaut, à la limite du Vermandois et du Cambrésis et de suivre le fleuve jusqu'à son embouchure entre Belgique et Hollande. Pour cette fois-ci, nous nous bornerons au tronçon français de l'Escaut dont la majeure partie est canalisée. Ensuite, dès que nous en aurons l'occasion, nous ferons des allers-retours entre Bruxelles et les diverses villes et contrées scaldiennes, du Hainaut à la presqu'île de Walcheren.
En 2006, j'avais suivi - seule - le cours de l'Oise, depuis sa source près de Chimay en Belgique jusqu'à Conflent-Ste-Honorine où elle se jette dans la Seine. J'ai hâte de renouveler l'expérience, cette fois-ci en compagnie de la personne qui compte le plus au monde pour moi...
