BP716 Rainbow and Bird - a photo on Flickriver

May showers brings rainbow and dove just before baby arrives. 2006
Worth viewing in 1400 x 1050 px

Levels-adjusted to push up the contrast, but otherwise unmodified. A polarizer was used, which results in fairly high contrast to start with. Darker right side is Alexander's Band, a few green and purple supernumerary bows are seen on the inside of the left side.

The bird is intentional, a group of them (mourning doves, I think) were bouncing between two trees. Got lucky on second or third shot and got it nearly centered with wings extended!
