BNSF 789 Alton 12 Sep 08 - a photo on Flickriver

            *This is a re-upload as the first one seemed to have gotten the Flickr shadow-ban for some reason.

BNSF 789 leads the X-VAWAND (Vancouver, WA - Alton, ND) down the siding at Alton, ND to get filled up with grain from the massive grain facility here approximately midway between Grand Forks and Fargo.

I didn't mind the Oakway splicing the BNSFbonnets (although I would have preferred it leading!), but it was nice that the only orange on this train was the lead unit's air conditioning box.

I was short-timing it at this point during my time in North Dakota. I had my orders to head to the Air Force Academy in Colorado in a few months, and I was soaking up what I could of the power variety that was still semi-common in the northern plains at the time.
